In a video released from the online fiqh and usul lesson of Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a teacher at a religious school, he appears to have stated that he has temporarily suspended his lessons.
Modern.az reports that this video was broadcast on "BBC" in 2024.
In the video, Mojtaba Khamenei states that he made this decision without informing his father and that he himself does not know whether the suspension of lessons will be temporary or permanent.
According to information, these lessons by Mojtaba Khamenei, known as “kharij dars” (advanced jurisprudence lessons), lasted for 13 years. The “kharij dars” in fiqh and usul is considered the highest level in the Shia religious education system, and students attain the degree of ijtihad after completing this stage.
It should be noted that Mojtaba was elected as Iran's supreme religious leader after the death of his father, Ali Khamenei.
